The Easton Fire Department welcomed an Easton resident who wanted to thank them for their help when she had her leg impaled by a tree limb during a winter storm on March 2.
Kathy Steiger and her husband, Kurt, visited Station 1 on April 17 to express their appreciation for the efforts of Chief Kevin Partridge, Captain Jim Walsh and Firefighter David McRae. Steiger spent two weeks at Rhode Island Hospital recovering from the injury, which she suffered while driving on Bay Road to meet her husband, whose car had also been struck by a falling tree during the storm.
