The Easton Fire Department is working alongside the Police Department and Department of Public Works to respond to and address damage sustained due to inclement weather Sunday night into Monday.
Power Outages
Easton officials are aware of power outages townwide and are working with National Grid to ensure safety as crews restore power to those affected. The National Grid Outage Map can be found at nationalgridus.com/MA-Home/Outage-Central. There is likely to be a multiday restoration process for some residents.
If you have not reported your power outage to National Grid, it is important that you do so. You can report outages by going to nationalgridus.com/outages or calling 1-800-465-1212. Please be sure you have reported your outage to National Grid so they can address your outage when they are in your area for repairs. Please do not call 911 to report an outage or to ask about power restoration.
If you require a town inspection to restore power, you can call Easton Police at 508-230-3322 and press 0 to be put in contact with the electrical inspector.
Those who are using generators are reminded to use extreme caution and allow for proper ventilation. Never use a generator indoors or inside a garage. Keep generators away from doors, windows and HVAC air intakes. Be sure that you have working carbon monoxide detectors. Additional safety information regarding the use of generators can be found here.

Sheltering Assistance
Any residents who are in need of shelter from the storm and/or power outages are asked to call the Easton Police Department at 508-230-3322 and press 0 to speak with an officer. Easton will provide shelter and the town’s first responders will assist residents who may need help getting to a shelter from their homes.
Use Caution
Residents are encouraged to stay off the roads if possible to allow first responders and National Grid to restore utilities and open closed roads. If you must travel or be outside, use caution.
Remember to stay away from all downed power lines and never go near or touch them. Treat all down wires as live electrical wires. Do not get close to them as electrocutions can occur without direct contact.
Please be a good neighbor and check on family, friends and neighbors, especially the elderly, those who live alone, and those who may need additional assistance.
Anyone in need of emergency services is reminded to call 911.
