About Easton Fire

 

The Easton Fire & Rescue Department was established and has been serving the town of Easton since 1894, proudly providing over a century of service to the public.

The department operates three fire station serving a population of 25,028 and covering 29.3 square miles,   

The Easton Fire Rescue Department provides fire protection and emergency medical services to the community, responding to approximately 4,200 calls each year. The services provided include fire suppression, fire prevention/code enforcement, fire and life safety education, emergency medical services at the advanced life support level, hazardous materials response at the operations level, and a multitude of public assistance services for all hazards.

The department staffs three (3) fire stations with 11 Firefighter/Paramedic’s on shift, and has one fulltime Fire Inspector, Deputy Fire Chief, the Fire Chief, and two Administrative Assistants. The department operates in a cross-staffing mode with 3-Pumpers, 1- Ladder, and two ambulances for primary responses.  

The department has well trained members who provide outstanding service to the community on all hazards. All members are certified FF I&II, Hazardous Materials, vehicle extrication, and have attended many training courses at the state fire academy. The department Officers have attended and received certification in Fire Officer I & II, Fire Instructor and Fire Inspector. All members are certified paramedics and receive annual training on the state protocols and skills retention.
