Easton Conservation Commission Allowing Residents to Remove Fallen Trees from Properties Adjacent to Town-Owned Conservation Land
EASTON — Due to the recent nor’easters, the Easton Conservation Commission voted on Monday, March 5, to allow, for the next 30 days, the removal of felled trees from properties adjacent to town-owned land managed by the Conservation Commission and within wetland resource areas.
Structures may be repaired to pre-storm conditions. Clean discharges from flooded buildings may be discharged into wetland areas. Storm water management systems may also be cleared and repaired, but not expanded. Other activities of comparable scope to protect public health and safety may also be permitted.
Please notify Andrea Langhauser, the Easton Environmental Planner, of needed storm repair so she can inspect the properties before the work has begun. Langhauser can be reached at 508-230-0643 or ALanghauser@easton.ma.us. For more information of types of projects allowed and process to follow, please read the Emergency Certification documents.
