Everyone over the age of 18 who lives, works or studies in Massachusetts and has received the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine at least 6 months ago or the Johnson & Johnson vaccine at least 2 months ago can and should get any booster. You can mix and match vaccines. You do not need to get the same vaccine brand for your booster as your original COVID-19 vaccination. Read more about booster vaccines on the Massachusetts Department of Public Health’s webpage by clicking here.
The clinics are being held as cases of COVID-19 are rising locally and in the region, and a high demand for tests and booster shots is leading to longer wait times for those looking to schedule. In response to this, the Town of Easton is holding testing and vaccination clinics during December.
Easton Emergency Management is working with partners at the Massachusetts Department of Public Health to secure additional rapid tests and vaccine/booster doses and will announce and run additional testing/vaccine clinics depending on the supply Easton is able to receive.
As a reminder, a COVID-19 vaccine clinic for children ages 5 to 11 will be held on Friday, Dec. 17 from 4-8 p.m. at Easton Middle School. Additional details regarding that clinic are available here.
