4 PM Update
Easton continues to work towards power restoration and clean-up. There are still 21 roads closed and 6193 National Grid Customers (61% of Easton) without power. All roads that can be reopened before National Grid arrives have been reopened. All remaining closed roads will require National Grid to be present to clear the wires first for the tree crews.
Residents without power should be planning not to get it back tonight. Easton will still offer sheltering if there is a need. If you need sheltering for the night, please call Easton Police at 508-230-3322 and press 0. Easton police will get our sheltering team in contact with you.
If you have a generator make sure it is located outside. It should not be near doors and windows. Having working carbon monoxide detectors in your home will help protect you.
As a reminder, treat all down wires as live electrical wires. Do not get close to them as electrocutions can occur without direct contact.
Easton will continue to have emergency services available throughout the night. If you have an emergency dial 911.
